Who We Are

The Organization, Sarvangin Vikas Samiti has been constituted on dated 2nd October,1993 by a group of Educated, Energetic and like-minded youths with the devotion on Gandhian thoughts of rural development. The main objective behind this association was to establish social justice, integration, inclusion, unity, equality and integrated development of the society, especially in rural areas. The group has initiated their activities towards the goal from the villages of Sheikhpura and Lakhisarai districts on different social evils. In the mean time, the group felt that the action on specific issues would limit them in individual capacity and then the organization looks like a broad space to work for the holistic development. During a deep discussion on existing situation in a general meeting, it was decided to establish this organization and then the name was finalized as SARVANGIN VIKAS SAMITI, means a group with a mission of overall development of our society & accordingly, it was registered on 28 June 1993 under society registration act XXI OF 1860 by I.G. Registration, Bihar Patna. Similarly, after the division of Bihar, it was registered in Jharkhand also in the same act.
During its interventions, the organization has engaged individuals from different fields with flair to work for the social development issues in the field of Primary Education, Community Health, Skill Development, Water & Sanitation, Conservation of Natural Resources, Livelihood Promotion, Innovative Farming and Renewable Energy with the support of various Department/Agencies. At present the organization is able to create a strong network of man power/professional/experts (109) including adequate infrastructure in 15 districts of Bihar & 05 districts of Jharkhand through its accountability and transparency in the implementation of various activities for the upliftment of poor, needy and deprived section of the society with a vision of overall development at grass root level.
